Paws4ever Celebrates 10 Years

Paws4ever, a guaranteed adoption animal shelter, celebrates 10 years of offering a unique, integrated approach to animal welfare at their animal sanctuary in Mebane, North Carolina. Located on 50 acres, Paws4ever is situated on land purchased by a bequest from Felicite Latane who loved her pets. Paws4ever is dedicated to improving the lives of cats and dogs through adoption, training and education. With its wide range of programs, Paws4ever strives to provide services for animals and the community at each stage of life.

paws4ever 1Today, the Adoption Center is a placement partner for animals transferred from county shelters, including Orange, Chatham and Caswell, where the number of adoptable pets outpaces the space to house them. The Learning Center provides the most affordable and comprehensive array of dog training in the area, and the sanctuary is home to a three-acre dog park. Paws4ever’s newest program, Legacy Care, provides peace of mind to pet owners seeking to ensure care for their animals when they are no longer able to provide it due to terminal illness or death. The Paws4ever ReSale Store, located in Hillsborough at the Shops at Daniel Boone, offers unique, high-quality merchandise for sale, with all proceeds going to support our adoption efforts.

On November 1, Paws4ever will host its Anniversary Celebration Walk/Trail Run for Animal Protection and Fall Festival to celebrate the organization’s 10th anniversary at the Mebane location.

The event will begin at 10:00 a.m. with a half-mile walk and a two-mile trail run on newly developed woods trails through the property. Registration is just $30 for adults and $15 for children under 13. Discounts are available if registering before October 10th.

The walk/trail run will be followed by a family-friendly festival including a food truck rodeo, beer tent, carnival games, raffle drawings, vendors, live music, and dog agility and flyball performances. Paws4ever will also be offering discounts on adoption fees during the event. General admission to the festival is $5.
