Mutts account for 53% of all pet dogs in the US. The National Mutt Census is being conducted by Mars Veterinary, and  will give us a view into the background of the nation’s mixed breed dog population. Mars Veterinary is urging dog owners to participate in the National Mutt Census where they can take a brief Census survey, which asks them questions about the dog’s health and history. Census takers also will be able to learn more about how easily DNA tests can help them identify the breed history of their mixed breed dog.
